Our Journey
Keiran and Dave, the duo behind H & M Carpentry, embarked on their carpentry
journey in 2004.
Their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail have been the
driving force behind their success.
Recently, they’ve taken a significant step by moving to their new workshop
premises, where creativity knows no bounds.

Commision
Design
Depending of weather you require fitted furniture of stand alone pieces of furniture, sending us your designs and measurements is a great way to start the ball rolling, and a way of giving an estimate of cost, after which a site visit can be arranged to take detailed measurements. Generally we work within a 15 mile radius of our Raunds workshop.
we can then supply 3d drawings at cost of £120 which is taken from the final payment when the job is completed. A single revision to these drawings can be made in line with client feedback at no charge. Should the commission for any reason not be made the cost of the design is not refundable.
Stand alone pieces of furniture follow the same process, however designs and site visits may not be needed and pieces can be shipped/couriered at extra cost.

Materials
Materials
We are proud to use diverse, characterful, natural materials hand selected for each project. We encourage you to visit the workshop, meet us and help choose your materials. We happily use any wood with shakes, knots, ripple and waney edges alongside other high quality materials to make your project work in your space. weather it be a business or home.
Making
While we have some smaller items in stock most of the furniture which leaves our workshop is made to order. This means we can customise our collections to make something you’ll love forever

Pricing and production
Pricing
Once a design and quotation is agreed upon we will ask for a 50% deposit to secure the production slot in the workshop and the remaining 50% when the project is installed and finished. Stand alone pieces will require the remaining 50% before leaving the workshop
Production
Our standard lead time is 12 weeks from receipt of a deposit payment. If you need your commission to be delivered by a particular date please state this clearly at the point of enquiry and we will be happy to help. Lead times are quoted in good faith based on the best available information at the point of enquiry. We will notify you by email and/or telephone of any delays at the earliest opportunity.
